Basement stairs, from the bottom. This is the space that the utilities guys have to play with. Behind the water reservoir is where the oil tank is supposed to go. This is thrilling news, because we'd been told that there was no room, and that it would have to go in my work shop. But the tank is now reckoned to be 1/4 inch shorter than the gap. I won't rest easy until that thing is in place, but at least there's reason for optimism.

The back window in the master bedroom. This was supposed to be quite a small window, so we're pleasantly surprised about how large it is.
